I have not popped off my door panel to investigate yet, but I have this issue with my driver's side door.

If I lock the doors with the passenger side switch, it will lock both (driver/passenger).

BUT, if I use the switch on the driver's side, it will lock the passenger side, and MOVE the driver's side lock, but it won't lock it.
However, if I have the door open and I lift up the door handle and press down on the driver's lock switch, it will lock both...??

Anyone have this experience/know what's going on?

NOTE: The car was broken into in the past (I bought the car this way) and I can't put the key into the outside "tumbler." I see something metallic stuck/broken off in there so I can't open the driver's side from the outside. I will try to get it out with a magnet soon.

That doesn't make any sense though. If I am sitting in my car with both doors closed, the driver side switch will only lock the passenger lock. If I use the passenger lock though, it will lock both.

This is the first Honda (Acura) that does this. In all my other cars, the driver's side switch would lock both.

 

you know what i have the same exact problem but i havent figured it out yet either

 

i tried pushing the lock itself to the locked position but it acts like the rod is bent or jammed, also i noticed that if i unlock the pass door with the key it unlocks/locks both

 

if you google, theres a topic about this on i think TI about a broken or loose spring inside the lock mechanism. Just get a new one from N1.
