Default Spark plug holes stripping...help needed

So long story short friend was helping me at the track and got the #4 plug either too tight or off track. It threads in but when it goes to tighten down it goes tight then loose but not like blownout loose. Im not touching it until i figure out the best way to handle this.

your gonna have to take the plug out if it isnt already, take a look at the threads they might not be that bad, you can get a rethreader, like these

http://www.mytoolstore.com/kd/kdengi11.html

It may have stripped because when the engines hot the metal expandsm and when you take the plug out the metal starts to shrink.

You can try the rethreader tool first, then you might have to put a heli coil in

Ok, then why are you supposed to do a compression test when the motor is at operating temperature?

OP take a look at the threads in the head, its either gonna have to get it rethreaded or a new head

Use a thread chaser... Just put alittle lube on the thread's to catch the shavings from falling into the cylinder...

Run thread chaser through, if not then pull the head (unless you can somehow manage to fit an insert kit in there).

you're not suppose to. compression tests are for the tooner boys who think it's a end all be all test of engine condition. operating temperature will have little effect on results.
