Default Which Camshafts to use with I/H/E 97 GSR

Hey guys, which Camshafts does everyone recommend or use on their GSR's running I/H/E, plan to get Intake Manifold too, either JG, Skunk2 or Type R, any suggestions are appreciated.

you want to go all motor or something else...
TODA SPEC B..are a good choice...with some TODA CAMS...
U need to use a del sol timing belt however though...

any of the stage 2 are good...if you don't want to spend too much money..crower vtec cams are good..and also the JDm ITR...also...

if you are not looking to create a beast and just want to increase your HP a little more then the best cam for the money is ITR or CTR..Depending on what year you get ( 2001 ITR or 2000 CTR ) they are about the same..If you want to go all out race then get the Jun stage 3..

Why would you need to use a delsol timing belt?! Any of the stage two what?

Skunk2 stage 1 cams produce decent amounts of hp with out requiring you to upgrade any of your vavle train componets. If you want something a little less expensive and not as aggresive, Integra Type R cams or Civic Type R cams are great.

i'd do toda or skunk 2. jun are good but very expensive but then so are the todas. all in all we kinda need to know what you want in the end i.e. turbo motor or nitrous.

Don't you have the skunk2 stage 1 cams, and after dyno tuning are only making 158whp? Not to put you down man, but are there other people with these cams and similar mods with better numbers?

Right now I have type r intake cam in my car. Was a nice upgrade, you definetly notice it when you put it in. Now I have Toda Spec B's but they aren't in yet. Still in the box next to bed. I'm going all motor. So depends on $$$$ and what you are looking for.

CTR(or ITR), Skunks 1's for a little more, Skunk 2's for even more, but these need to be properly tuned to gain most from them, enjoy

yea, but after more tuning and under cooler conditions, I should get much better numbers. I'm running on stock exhaust and stock Intake manifold, so that is hurting me also.

I've seen VERY good numbers from other people with these cams.
