As far as I know the '94 - '01 should fit, but I do not know if the OBD2 transmissions are any different than the OBD1 transmissions electronically. I would say a safe bet would be any '96 - '01, but maybe someone has a more definite answer? I believe I have a '96 auto trans if you are interested. Good luck!

thanks for the reply. i know nothing, but it seems like you're saying 94 and 95 are OBD1 and 96 to 01 are OBD2.

i looked up those acronyms--thats the electrical diagnostic formats so i think you're saying my computer won't be able to communicate with a 94 or 95 transmission. fair enough?

i do need an auto trans asap i have motorcycle only until i figure this out and its supposed to snow next week. i'm in 17543 so we're like 4 hours apart. how could we do that and how much do you want?

i just ordered a helms manual from amazon last night because this guy locally said i can get a trans out of his junkyard if i can remove it. too bad i dont know wtf i'm doing on a trans..

thanks again

You are correct about the years that DC4s had and OBD1 system and an OBD2 system. OBD1 was '94 and '95 and OBD2A was '96 - '99 and OBD2B was from '00 and '01. Whether it is OBD2A or B should not make a difference. I could meet you more towards Lock haven if you know where that is. I have a friend who can meet you sometime, maybe even this weekend. I will make sure that the transmission will work for you before we get everything else arranged. I am asking $250 including meeting you in Lock Haven. Just think about it, and let me know. Thanks!
