I am building my h22 turbo motor and i am having a really hard time trying to find some race bearings.
I am looking for at least 600whp and i need some bearings to hold up
I have checked around I can not find the part numbers for any of the bearings I need
anyone know how much oem will hold up too?
and ive heard alot about acl but cant find the right mains for the h22a

any help is greatly appreciated

 

I have ACL on my built H22 and havent had any problems. When I did my oil clearance measurements they were right on. Also when I was looking at main bearings there were 50mm and 55mm available. I forget what the cut off year was but its one or the other. I think I have an extra set of 55mm ACL's if you need it. PM me and I'll send you the part number to see if thats what you need.

What year is your motor btw?

 

i have a 93 h22a
i believe the a4's and 23's have the 55mm crank and the a1's and jdm motors have the 50mm
i am looking for the h22a1 or h22a 50mm

oem dude. no way would i ever put acl bearings in anything i build. seen to many problems.

I'm in the same boat. I saw that ACL only makes bearings for 55 mm mains on the h22. Thought I could get some race bearings for the F22A and swap them over, but they don't make those either.

 

if you are looking for standard size bearings i would recommend the clevite77 race bearings. if you have a local machine shop im sure they can get them for you pretty quick. i have clevite race in my crank and acl race in the rods.( thats the only way to get race bearing all around) w good machine work these bearing will work great. i have yet to see something wrong w my bearings.... and i check them all the time.

We only use acl bearings as long as clearances allow. Hit up Laskey Racing, I'm sure he has them in stock or can get them quickly.
