I'm looking to buy a '97 civic ex 4dr. And the owner says: "The car will not start and stay running unless the gas pedal is held to the floor. And is claiming its just the crank sensor!".

Could it be the crank sensor!?!

Kinda sounds weird to me really... I would pull the ECU fuse under the hood and put back in after a minute or so just so it resets everything and try it... also if it is what he is claiming, is there a check engine light?? if so diagnose it jump the ECU and read the code and it will tell you everything...
