I've got a 99 Civic Hatch with a JDM B16A, and the starter just went on it, so I go to replace the starter with another b-series starter, and...it doesn't fit..? I read on honda-tech that all b-series starters were interchangeable. The solenoid on the new one is much bigger in comparison to my old. It doesn't fit in between the flange and the transmission mount. Which starter will be exactly like my old one?

 

b16 and b18 are the same but b20 has its own starter. so maybe you get a b20 starter or some put a diff starter in the box
