Default 1999 HONDA ACCORD EX with ULEV VTEC

this honda came in today and it was [which souded like] mis-firing. so we hook it up to MASTER TECH OBD unit and it reads it to be mis-firing. so we do a basic tune up and the car is worse now. lack of power and it backfires in the air filter box. we check motor/all data and it does not show the distributor cap firing order. only has a picture of the block order. and this is the order it says the pistons are numbered.

from the distributor [passenger side] (1) (2) (3) (4) to the cam [driver side] . i call the local honda sealer and he disagree's.i i agreed with him..got 2 other opinions and all say the same. the numbers are as follows.

from the distributor [passenger side] (4) (3) (2) (1) to the cam [driver side] .

and the firing order on MOST hondas are 1, 3, 4, 2. but the car still is messed up..got any trouble shooting soultions..tomorrow i will conduct a compression test...

Firing order 1.3.4.2 ALWAYS starting at the engine's front (Cam Gear End).
