I have a oil leak and the only place that i can see that it might be coming from here:

its a hole that is in between the down pipe
any one know what is sopost to be there?

 

id like to help but i am really not sure what you mean, by down pipe do you mean your header, possibly are you missing one of the bolts for your oil pan, there is one that you have to remove the header to get to, could you give some more details

 

do you have your dipstick in all the way?

 

yeah the first picture, i dont know what im looking at, the second picture is your headers, but youre talking about an oil leak but i barely see your pan

yea sorry about the pics and my horrible spelling, i took the pics my phone..
and yea its in between the headers on the oil pan, its like
a little tube that sticks out about a 1 1/2 out towards the
headers. (ill take better pics tom.)

heres the pics again but with the unknown part highlighted
it looks to be sealed but just might be built up burn oil that
leaks oil out when it warms up. (just a theory)

umm the it should be all the way in..

that would cause it to leak?

a header wont leak oil. it is probably running from somewhere

 

lol really? of course oil wont leak out of the header...

i just need to know what the tube is (behind the header!!) and should there be something hooked
up to it or should i block it off?

thats the only spot that appears to be leaking from..

 

the only tube i know behind the center of my header is the hole that my dipstick goes into other than that im not recalling another tube there

 

looks like an oil pan tapped for a return oil line.....you need to get that capped of ASAP...otherwise you're gonna be buying a new motor soon....oil pressure loss, oil loss, oil getting REALLY contaminated. fix it asap. I personally would get a new oil pan to straighten the situation out.....
