stock accord headunits interchangable?
hey,
i was wondering if the newer headunits from lets say the 2000 or 2001 accords fit in a 99 accord?
to be more specific the 00,01 have the round buttons and are one single unit unlike the 99s..
im asking because my cd player stopped working. if anyone has a stock solution to this let me konw..
i actually also needed a couple of things so if you have it send me a pm.
i need:
stock springs for a 4 cly sedan accord 99(need asap)
passenger side front door with side view mirror.
thanks
baqi

The 1-din units are interchangable with the 1-din units, the 2-din units are interchangable with the 2-din units.
Why do you want to stay stock? Aftermarket radios are much better and you can get a nice one for around $150.
But... if you really do want the stock look, another option would be to use a trunk mounted Alpine CD Changer. Yes, they are obsolete, but that means you can buy one cheaply. It will work with your OEM radio with an adapter so that it plugs into your radio. Look for M-bus, not ai-net. ai-net will work, but you would need a second adapter.
This is what I have in my '99 Honda, OEM radio with Alpine CD changer that I put in over ten years ago. In my commuter ('95 Camry) I have a nice Sony radio with a front-mounted USB port, I love that thing. I just load up flash drives with .mp3s from my computer and plug it directly into the radio.
