Default DC header VS oem exhaust manifold

just wanted to know how much better is the dc 4-2-1 header over the oem one. . i check my header last nite and found out that it was badly dented. i wana know if it's worth it to fix the dc header or just put back my stock one.

any info will be appreciated..

My DC 4-2-1 gave me pretty good gains. The heat problem sucked, but I fixed that. I certainly wouldn't want to go back to the stock manifold.

I've got a ceramic 4-2-1 one piece. I have intake and exhuast before that.

I noticed nothing. Maybe some midrange. Go w/the 4-1 if you want gains.

it's dented pretty bad... i don't plan on buying new headers but really don't want to run the stock one due to it's rattling problem. but i can live with the rattling if i'm hurting performance right now. i am in the process on building my suspension and don't plan to touch the motor till next year..

oh yea it's on a 96GSR

thanks for all the replies

Hey mark..

I think if you dented it bad enough it will hurt the flow. I would just put the stock one on if you're not going to invest in another one soon. How is your stock header rattling? Heatshield problem?

Take a pic. Is there any header on a lowered car that is not dented?

you do NOT need a 4-1 to get gains...
a well crafted 4-2-1 will offer all the gains of a 4-1 while gaining mid and low range as well. look up comptech or hytech.

Mine. Nearly 2". DC's 4-2-1 tucks in like the stock one.
