Being as how u are inquiring about a 2.5 inch drop, i take it you want a 2.5 inch drop.

Therefore the only lowering springs that will lower you 2.5 inches are H&R race springs. They drop 2.5 in the front and 2.3 in the rear
Otherwise you need some coilovers

BTW i must warn you that the spring rate is going to be significantly higher and your shocks will wear out faster that at whatever height u have now

skunk2 slip over coilovers would go great, you can go with the civic application (8kF?6kR spring rates) or integra application (10kF/8kR). You'll need to run to mid-range spring rates if your planning to drop your car under 2inchs.

8k is a pretty high spring rate for illumnas. I would say just get the H&R race springs.

yeah im on 8/10k w/ illuminas and had em for 6 years. i'm amazed how well they're doing. Still working very well. But for your non-track setup try the lower spring rate if you can find it. H/R race would work so you dont have to worry about adjustment.

oh edit: wasnt on this spring rate the whole time :-P
eibach pro-kits for a few years im sure led to their longer life
then some neuspeed race
now the coils (omni)

i've seen many people run mid-high range spring rates on the illuminas, in my opinion they pair very well together. I wouldn't go any higher than 10k spring rates on the illuminas. Though my room mate has 12k/10k spring rates on his illuminas and seems like the illuminas still respond pretty well, i wouldn't recommend it though.

you'll have a slight bottoming out issue for the front shocks, if you decide to go with the H&R race springs. Keep that in mind.

is the drop too low for the front or something? what if i keep the dampening at its stiffest?

Im sure that will help but its not going to solve the problem. You wont bottom out too much but its something to consider. Also, how many miles do you have on your used illuminas? How low were u riding when you had the illuminas put in.

oh well im a careful driver. slow over the speedbumps. avoid all the rocky terrain and bumpy roads. i slow down when i see a pothole, even the tiny ones. it pisses everyone behind me off. i have somehwere between 1k-2k miles on the illuminas. i wasnt riding that low. 2 finger gap all around.
