Hello,

My RPM is whack right now.
Ill start the car and the rpm will start dancing lie go to 8500 to 2000 back to 6000 to past the red line

The engine itself doesnt rev or anything, the the rpm gauge does.

I heard one of my friends mention that it could be a thing call the rpm or speed sensor like its a wire

but i took it to the shop and they say that no such piece exsists

Please help.

its a bad ground wire. same thing in my buddies 91 prelude

 

u go about it by takin ur dash and center consol off trying to find the culprit. idk anything about grounding kits, it could be that the ground just needs to be tightened or adjusted.
