no i didnt have a magnetic drain bolt... But it one piece was in the oil pan, and the large chunk of metal was sitting on the windage tray
Did you put the motor together or did you buy it like that? Im guessing it was turbo'd? Im thinking Thrush washer if you dont see any nuts missing...Unless somthing got left in the motor when being built.
If it had a very heavy pressure plate and/or the driver rode the clutch endlessly, it very well could be a thrust washer. Once one side wears away, the other side has play to pop out, get juggled by a crank, rod, and piston moving upwards of 22 meters per second.

i was right!! dout me and get trust washered!!!!!! i can identiy bad probs weeks before they happen thats why im not a caps lock away from be9ing coool
The real issue is findin out why it ate the bearing in the 1st place. If you don't it will probably keep doing so. As I mentioned before, its usually because of a VERY heavy pressure plate and slipping/riding the clutch a lot. Ask a VERy experienced race driver to watch how you use your clutch, because 99% of the people that ride their clutch don't think they do - they do it because they learned wrong.
I still have my ACL thrust and main bearings from my B16A build. If you need them let me know and throw an offer.
I wonder how much play your crank has after installing all of the thrust washers?
