Icon2 teflon coated sleeves????

I have a h23a1 that I took to the machine shop, they say that it has teflon coated sleeves and if I want to rebuild it I have to get it re-sleeved. Is there such thing as teflon coated sleeves on Honda motors?

FRM=Fiber Reinforced Metal. Most shops don't have the proper equipment to hone FRM. It is not an easy process to rehone FRM from what I understand. You should do a search on this site to find out if there are any shops close to you that can do it. Otherwise you can just ship your block off to someone like Darton or Golden Eagle to get it resleeved with ductile iron sleeves so you can run forged pistons. Good luck. If you need any more info you can PM me.
