Since I lost my last hatch to an accident I've been missing it more and more each day, I've got some extra money to blow so I figured I'd look for another hatch. I have some fairly high standards for these cars so please pay attention to my list of wants below.

Wants:
- Milano Red/Phantom Gray/Captiva Blue (Ideal colors!) I will take another color, but it must be an OEM non-Repainted color.
- 93+ Si will bring extra money
- I will take CX/DX/VX
- As STOCK as possible.
- ZERO rust. I will not purchase a rusty or once rusted car. No bubbling, No under car rust and NO RUST REPAIRS. Period.
- No Repaints (Not even OEM color repaints, I want OEM Factory paint)
- Manual Transmission

Do Not Wants:
- H22's (Do not like them)
- Re-painted cars, I do not care if it is an OEM re-paint. The car needs to be as original as possible.
- Rust (**** Rust.)

I will not list what I am willing to spend as I do not want to alarm anyone as to what I am willing to pay for the right car. I am ideally looking for a concourse condition one or two owner car here and I will pay the price if the car is right. Ideally the car would be 100% stock. I will be prepared to verify ALL information you claim may be done to a vehicle...I am an ASE cert. Mechanic and My inspection of a vehicle will be very thorough. If you claim to have a built or rebuilt engine, be prepared to back that up as I may ask you to remove a Spark Plug so I can check the pistons/cylinder walls with a Video-scope. I will also be prepared to Paint-Gauge your vehicle. Do not try to hide a re-paint or collision repair. I will find it!

My standards may be high, but so is the price I may be willing to pay! I will pay well over BlueBook value for the right car.

good luck finding a rust free hatch nowadays. you should def head south and check other states that don't get as much weather and salt as we do. if you are as serious as you say you are about finding the right car, you are really wasting your time searching in the mid atlantic area

 

How so? My last hatch was from this area and it had zero rust single owner. It's all in who cares for the car and how hard of a life its had. I am not looking to travel farther than necessary so if I can find one close first that is the route I will take. Not in any sort of hurry as I have a car currently and the money is just laying around. Salt isn't the only reason cars rust out, neglect and maintenance play a huge role...salt just magnifies everything.

I have found several semi-local rust free cars but they did not meet all of my criteria for purchase. Mostly that while they had no rust...there were countless dings/dents.

My hatch is rust free. I Take it to a car wash often since they keep throwing down salt for no snow and they clean the underbody. It works too cause I check my wheel wells when I get home.
