Icon6 B17 head on a B20 block?

I have an eg with a B17 swap. It has some power but is completely tourqueless. I have seen people pushing very impressive numbers with B20/vtec setups which makes me want to swap out my block(if my head will fit). Would this be possible? Also are there any other components from my B17 block that I should swap into the B20 block. I know nothing about these kind of setups. Any input would be greatly appriciated thanks

the b17 head will fit the b20 block. here is a link to build a re-liable ls/b20 vtec.

Thanks guys. Someone told me that I should swap my crank out of my b17 and put it in the b20 to get higher revs. Im new to honda engines espicially b20/ls vtec setups and dont know much about what I should swap out and everything. Thanks in advance

Putting your current B17 crank into a B20 defeats the whole purpose of what you are trying to accomplish, not to mention that custom rods will be needed to put a B17 crank in a B20. If built properly, a B20 bottom end can handle all the revs that you are going to be throwing at it especially since it is pointless to rev past where you are making power.

Yes eventually but I need to get money together to buy everything I need for my new setup. I have the b17 in my car now and dont plan on taking anything apart until I have all of the parts that I need together and ready for the b20 setup
