Default light weight wheel question

i'm currently on oem alloy rims 15X6.5, with kumho 195/55r15
say if i switch to k1 wheels, with the same tires, will i actually feel the difference of the lighter wheel??
i'm asking this, cos i got bored of the oem rim look, i want some aftermarket wheels, so if the lighter wheels actually makes a difference i can feel, then i'll pay more to get them
btw, it's a daily driver, plus alittle bit of autoX

one thing for sure is you will feel better steering response with any lightweight wheel. Power wise maybe if you had a 17 inch heavy wheel then swithcing to a light weightwheel then you will feel a little bit of power gain by butt dyno, feeling the power difference in yur situation maybe very little.

p.s.; light weight wheel are always very good mods
cheers,
judd

depends on the weight difference between a wheels. I personally can tell a difference between a 12-13lbs and 15-16lbs wheel as far as accelleration and overall resonse

in some cars its very hard to tell any difference ie. stock corolla with a set of spoons and stock wheels, hardly any difference most likely due to soft ride, and little road feedback, add to that anemic 110hp motor

Yeah, I agree. I definitely felt a difference when I switched from my 16" Volks to OEM ITR rims. Acceleration felt slower...

I felt a diffrence going from my stock 15" si rims of 16lbs. to my 15" volk te-37's of 10lbs. that is like making me a 5-6lb. lightr flywheel. and on top of that i alreayd have a 9ls. flywheels. holly reving!

regardless of whether u feel the difference of not, there is an increase of forward power..as for lateral performance it d depend more on the tire

Just dont forget about Tire weight.

My 15" Circuit8/Azenis setup is slower then my 16" Slipstream/Parada setup.

I can tell in both acceleration and braking response.
