alpine alarm remote

Default alpine alarm remote

i have a alpine alarm i bought in '98. I bought a used alarm remote for it and i have no clue on how to set the code on it. can someone help me with this? thanks

it would help if you told us the model number of the alarm you have..

for my friends 8026 or maybe it was 8027? you had to get to the brain and hold some program switch while pressing the TXT/EXT buttons or something like that

Thats number is only available for retailers only....he wont get help there. I believe your is the rom chip model...you had to place a chip inside..sort of a beyatch to program....If your budget allows you look to update your sysytem with the newer
sec100s system...more up to date code learn type.

I know that was a retailer only line, but I figured those nice friendly people at Alpine would be able to direct him to someone who can help him.

The SEC100S/150R have nice LEDs too.

if my memory serves me correctly theres a ROM chip inside your remote which has to be inserted into a slot inside the alarm brain. With the alarm IN normal mode (NOT VALET) hit the tiny button inside the alarm brain. you should hear a chirp for confirmation. hth, havent programmed on of those for 3 years, hth.
