Bad economy, empty pockets CRX build thread
Well I had this CRX for a while.. Drove it to work mostly.. Now it just sits there because I dd my DC2. So I decided to tear it apart, repaint it, and get it ready to hit up some local tracks like Thunderhill and Laguna.
The CRX is already BARd for a B18A1.. So watch for a VTEC head to make an entrance somewhere in the thread.
Here is what I am working with.

On 2/7/09 decided to start stripping the car.

Couple of hours of work and I called it quits.
One question I have (I might have to ask in the EF section)
I upgraded my brakes. At first I had DC knuckles. Then I upgraded to 91 Civic EX knuckles. Used my DC rotors and calipers.
With the DC knucles I broke a few axles.. They pulled apart because I had cheap ebay mounts.. I swapped to Innovative mounts and proper 91 Civic knuckles... But my axles are still in the weirdest positions...
PICS

Notice that the passenger side axle is being pushed together while the drivers side axle is being pulled apart..
well thats it for now.

First off your not suppost to use dc knuckles on 88-91 civic/crx's because it messes up the geometry of the suspension. Then I guess my next question would be what kind of axles are on the car(meaning what car did they come from)? Also what halfshaft are you using?
Hey bro, I appreciate your attempt to help me.. But please read the post. ( the part where you missed the fact that I am not longer using DC knuckles, but the proper knuckles that are needed to make the larger brakes work. 90-91 Civic EX knuckles, DC rotors and calipers)

Thank you sir
I have a spare B18 block sitting around, as well as 83mm arias pistons... I might drop that off at the machine shop to get it bored out.. Get it ready for an LS/VTEC.
