Just curious.
Say I have a specialized bolt that would be very difficult to replace, however it's prone to rusting.
What would be the best way to protect said bolt? Since it's a small application, I was thinking of using clear nail polish to coat it. I suppose I could get some clear varnish or clear coat and do the same thing.
Anyone have any tips or suggestions?

you're right... totally forgot about the lube.. lol jk..
what about getting a new one machined from stainless?
if its that hard to replace, i think it'd be worth the money to get a few made. what application is it for anyway?
EDIT: when you say "hard to replace" are you talking about hard-to-find or hard-to-get-to.
