best head swap for a d15b7?
Is your D15 a CX, VX, or DX? If it's a CX or DX, theres more work involved than just a head swap. The VX is straight forward, cause it's already set for VTEC. I can get the info on usign a CX or DX head, but it will take a few days for me to aquire.

yes D16z6 would be the easiest, and cheapest if you have all the parts, its also OBDI which means less wiring or problems.
basically get the whole head, with everything you can find, for timing belt use VX belt, your timing will be off because of the block height difference but no worries its only about 5 deg. either way. or about 1/2 tooth. (meaning either killer low end or top end)
P28 ecu will need to be used and vtec oil pressure switch/solenoid will need to be wired as well

yep any D-series head, intake mani, exhaust mani can be swaped from engine to engine, some head swaps take more work than others, non vtec'ed engines need the oil control jet removed from the block, and need the vtec wiring, timing belt, etc. etc. etc.
yes you can install a 88-91 CRX Si head on your D15B7. Assumming is has normal mileage, you'll lose 1-5 hp from the leaky valve seals.
BTW the 88-91 DX/Si and 92-95 D15B7 heads are THE SAME THING.

Well, I was led in the right direction by a fellow autoxer that drove a "Wabbit".......
He also happens to work at the local Honda dealership. His info and guidance along with others that used to work there were of big help. Jeff is the one that WARNED me about 1-2 shifter forks, trailed me home once because of this (was my 3rd fork!)..........
My tranny exp. got started when I watched J. Murhpy do the ZC/Si swap article on Hybrid. Having never had a Honda tranny apart (but good with numbers/gearing!) I figured out the John had a DX tranny in his car and not the Si he thought he had. I know it is not stated in the ZC/Si article, but John did manage to put the reverse idler gear back in backwards in DaveP's tranny.
Cliff notes......"watch, learn, get greasy!"
Most of my little shortcuts were learned by watching the Hondatechs just doing their everyday job.

88-91 Si cam has bigger lobes, more lift. The duration might be a tad longer also.
I built a cam checker this past weekend, now need a degree wheel to check duration.
BTW the first numbers,
Stock 92-95 DX cam has .200" intake lift, .167" exhaust lift AT the lobe. Now you have to factor in the rocker ratio. I'll have a bunch of info soon!
