Icon2 Angel eyes = no hid bulbs?

A few weeks back i got a set of angle eyes for my 94 civic as you can see to the left. However there is a sticker on both lights saying h.i.d bulbs not allowed? why is this? I wud like to have h.i.ds cause day look the part. do h.i.ds got much hotter than standard bulbs or somthing? do you think i would get away with h.i.ds and not destroy the headlights?

it's probably just because of the beam pattern. you might have to modify the housing a bit but i don't think it should be too much of a problem

yeah good point. funny thing is i got a free set of h.i.d bulbs with them haha! they fit fine and not much of a differance in the beams. just dont want to risk screwing them up!

Its says that on the hi beam portion of the headlight. HID's do not burn hotter. Used hid kits in the same headlights and it worked fine. Do a retro though and save oncoming traffic.
