Icon6 Fuel Fiter Replacement hELp plz!!

hey guys just got a ?, where and how do you replace the fuel filter for the DC5 or is there a thread on here , cuase if there is then i missed it thnkx!!!!

there isn't one... it's part of the fuel pump assembly.

You will have to drop the tank, don't belive me, call your dealer, also it's not recomended until 120k miles

On the EP3 the dealer said it is a "lifetime" filter. Might be the same on the DC5.

You can actually remove it from under the bottom back seat. I've done this for a eg civic before. I would actually do this if I had about 50-60K on the car. Nothing wrong with changing filters when they are dirty. Better it going in there then in your engine.

its not a filter.. its more or less what we call a sock. a fuel strainer connected by the pump. If really worried pull the assembly, look for big particles and clean it. But its not easily serviceable. A lot of turbo guys remove it or add on a in-line after market fuel pump when they add the return line and create a open loop fuel system since our cars don't have a return line.

oh my. you have to drop the entire tank to do this? seems like something i will dread doing and probably end up paying someone to do, lol.

you don't have to drop the tank? Lift the rear seats out and unscrew the fuel pump cover and pull it out
