I tried searching google for installation on these mugen pedals but nothing.


I bought these Mugen 5MT pedals used so they came with no instructions, I was informed that within different applications, the installation of the throttle pedal would be different.

Does anyone by any chance have installations for these for the Type R application?

The Mugen pedal set is quite easy to install. Just remove the stock rubber pedal pads and the Mugen pedals slip right on. It's a snap! No drilling required.....

1. removing your old clutch and brake pads... these are pretty simple. all you have to do is pry with your hand and it'll come off
2. removing your accelerator pedal is a *****... this should have it's own how-to!
a. get down and look at your accelerator pedal.
b. feel around, you will notice a piece of plastic (tab) over the top of the pedal, well this is what you're aiming at prying off...then you can slide the pedal cover down.



I know you can't see it in this pic, but if you use a mirror you can see exactly what needs to be done.



peel the tape off one of the brake/clutch pedals (there the same thing)


use the 30mm plates and the BLACK hex head screws and screw the screws into the plates behind the covers

Sorry for the bump but does anyone have the part number for the OEM rubber pedal covers? I just got a Mugen pedal set and before I install, I want to know if:

1) I can reuse the rubber pedal covers or
2) if not, how do I get another set?

 

You can reuse. They just pry off. Iirc the throttle pedal cover is plastic.

 

i concur the gas pedal is a PITA to pry off

 

i love em they work sooo dam well ! in the ek they help alot since the pedels are far the gas and the brake.. they help when heal toeing alot ! these are very functional ... and when its wet they grip very well ! i love em !
