I've never done any work on an A/C system before. Theres all kindsa noise coming from my compressor and I'm not sure if it could be at tensioner or if is the compressor itself that needs to be replaced.

I did a search here on the forums but i'm not seeing anything relevatnt. Anyone have any links to writeups or any advice on what to check first and how?

I dont have to discharge the refridgerant to just take off the belt right?

How would I inspect it once the belt is off? Given my prelude's h23 I would assume the best way to tackle this is from the bottom of the car correct?

You can work on the AC compressor from the engine bay, no need to go under. But you will need to remove the PS and alternator to reach the ac compressor. You will also need to drain the refridgerant if you plan to remove the AC lines from the compressor.
