I finally have my car ready to get my cage installed. I know of a few places to get it done locally (Orlando, FL) but I am looking for more options. I am looking for someone who will do a great job at a reasonable price, and I am also wanting someone who is experienced in SCCA club racing cages. If you know of anyone in my area the help would be greatly appreciated.

 

Don't try and find the cheapest place to have them build a custom cage. Go with someone who is extremely reputable and knows what they are doing. A place called Irish Mikes (who i have dealt with before) is a great place. They have several guys who road race their daily drivers and some of them have trailer queens.

There prices aren't too bad but they will do a damn good job. You wanna talk to Dan at Irish Mikes. He is in the racing department. Great guy

Mike, this is James w/ the red hatch, I've talked to you before awhile back. I am actually friends w/ Dan at Irish Mikes but that is the one place I probably will not go since a few months ago I had a falling out w/ Mike because he was going to do a custom roll bar in my car and he upped his price on me after I dropped the car off for 2 days and would not hold to his original quoted price, and I could not come up w/ the extra money so I abandoned it at the time. So now I am not on his good side due to his business practices. I was not going to find the cheapest place, I meant I want quality work but I will not overpay for it. I should have mentioned that I did not want to go to Irish Mikes in the first place. I know of a place in Winter Springs that is on Belle Ave. but I do not know the name of the place, Dorian from Racing Works got a custom cage done there and they are my #1 choice at the time but I have to find the time to head up there to talk w/ them. Until then I'm trying to find a few other places so I can have more than just 1-2 options.
