- S2000 AP2 Clear LED Headlights - (Pictures and video)
I have had these LED clusters for years now, and have wanted to do this for quite a while. I finally sourced a set of broken AP2 headlights to use as a prototype before I cracked into a nice set. The housings of these lights are busted up, and the lenses were scratched.
I love the outcome. I have made two versions to see what everyone's opinions would be. The first was to keep a stock look, and increase the performance by keeping the amber lenses, but having the LED cluster behind the lens.
The second version was to paint the stock amber lenses flat black to match the stock bezels, and to have the face of the LED cluster shown. By doing this gave a very nice clean clear lens look.
Here are a couple of pictures. The video will show more pictures, as well as the function of the turn signal.
Let me know what you think!

That looks sweet!! I have 2 questions, where did you get the LED Cluster and on the prototype set would you sell the projector housings and lenses? PM me if so with price.
Thanks
Thanks
both look good. I prefer the amber look, personally.
but for those that have clear sidemarkers the cleared out edition would look great.

ncaaref: You may find LED clusters in many sizes on ebay. PM'd ya about the projectors.
SuzukaBlueAP2: Yes, that is the plan.
Just waiting on the second set of AP2 headlights to get here.
White Smoke: Thanks. The procedure in short is as follows... You will have to take your bumper off, lights out, take your lights apart, cut a hold in the stock turning reflector, cut a hole in your stock amber turn lens, tape off and paint the round amber lens, mount the LED cluster behind the round painted lens with the LED cluster protruding about 2mm's, apply 2 part epoxy, let dry. After 10-15 minutes drying, put your lights all back together and wire up.
Thanks to everyone else. I appreciate all your opinions and comments.

I've got a very primitive video on how I did this. If the weather is nice next weekend, I may put these on, and take some pictures on the car. I am also waiting on my clear side markers as well.
Enjoy, and have fun doing it yourself!
