Hey my buddy is looking to get a new car and was checking out this Accord.

2DR COUPE,AUTOMATIC,SUNROOF,(49,602 MILES) LEATHER SEATS, ALLOY WHEELS, FULLY LOADED, 6 CYLINDER, CD. PLAYER. GOLD COLOR WITH TAN LEATHER INT $7,800.

Is there any known problems with these or anything I need to be aware of? Thanks.

 

These are pretty solid cars except for the transmissions. It may not affect every single car but its very detrimental and expensive when it happens. It affects a lot of the automatic 98-02 accords and even some 03+ accords as well. Search over on 6thgenaccord.com and you'll see multiple threads on the subject. For the record, I had a 2000 auto and had the tranny go out at 50k and again twice soon afterwards under warranty. If out of warranty it can easily be 3-4k to repair/replace

 

Haha I just found that site. They are saying the same with the trannys. I guess it's all the V6 Honda/Acuras trannys, I know the CL V6 have major problems with there's as well.

 

i'd skip 2002 and go straight to 2004
