92 honda accord engine question.
Hi all. I just bought a used stock engine for my 92 lx. My question is my car is manual and the replacement engine is from an automatic. Will everything bolt/hookup fine or I will run into problems. please let me know I cannot find much information on this. Thank you

what you will have to do is remove the flex plate off the new motor and use your flywheel and bolts off your old one. thats all..also swap out the throttle body cuz they have a extra rotor for the kickdown cable for the auto transmission

Yeah, think about it from a manufacturing point of view. It wouldn't be very cost effective to manufacture two engines - it's easier and cheaper to make one engine and adapt the trans to that. But then again, sometimes people do crazy things that don't make any sense. Like FIAT. Prime the water pump? ok...

Alright I messed up I have a 92 EX and the engine I bought is out of a 92 DX same rules still apply? would it be wise to swap the intake manifold also? any other insight would be great.

If you wish to retain the vtec function of your original engine with the replacement DX you've procured, you're going to have to do more than just swap manifolds.
If you put a DX engine in place of an EX (and don't care about the Vtec function), you're going to have to make provisions for the missing sensors, switches and solenoids which the original ECM expects to find. It will set codes and more than likely switch to a default setting.
If you could exchange the DX for an EX engine; that would be the cleanest approach.
Second would be to swap the head from the EX onto the Block of the DX.
