hi guys. my transmission went "clunk" this morning after driving for about 3 minutes. the car was warmed up for about 10 minutes before moving.

i hear clunk, then my trans light comes on immediately, my speedo dies and my car doesn't switch gears when in d4. it seems like its always in 3rd or 4th because the power sucks. park to reverse is hard. neutral to d4 is hard. real hard shifts. not good.

my transmission fluid was not empty. i added 1.5 quarts and the shifting is the same.

so i jump the service connector wires with a paperclip and these instructions: http://www.modifiedlife.com/how-to-r...acura-integra/

i have no check engine light, but the check transmission light is sending these codes:
20
65
70
repeat

and the d4 indicator light is blinking these codes:
16
1
repeat

what do these mean? are they the same as if the check engine light was displaying them?

i think i have a major malfunction, here, but i would like to know the code read outs before i start asking who is close to me in 17543 and can help replace the transmission in my 2000 LS.

yeah, that's what i think, too. i think the first time it went to 4th this morning is when i heard the clunk and now d4 is fourth gear all the time.

local trans shop told me it could be a simple electrical problem or total loss, just trying to learn a bit more about it. i have the dealer service manual but not the helms.

 

code 20 = Electrical Load Detector
code 65 = Secondary Oxygen Sensor Heater
code 70 = Automatic Transmission Malfunction W/AT Controls
code 16 = Fuel Injectors
code 1 = Oxygen Sensor #1
