dyno: 400+whp pump gas single cam
just finished working on and tuning a pretty cool single cam car.
pretty basic and effective set up:
D16
machine work done by Justice Racing Engines
stock sleeves .5mm overbore
CP 9:1 pistons
eagle rods
acl bearings
cometic gasket
arp studs
stock port head
springs/retainers
bisimoto camshaft
edelbrock manifold
AFI turbo kit
SC61 turbo .63 t3
3" downpipe/exhaust
hondata S100
dual stage manual boost controller
boost was 22-23 psi falling at higher rpm to 20-21 psi

no rpm signal on that run so did not get rpm or torque

the run before with rpm, reved the previous run a little higher

hopefully we will get a chance to put some good gas in it and turn the boost up some more

I take it his manifold just looks like it could be divided, but isn't? Great power from a D16, but that manifold would really lend itself well to a divided setup.
lookin good joe. 22psi on pump is pretty ridiculous. i might need to turn the boost up a bit and get back down to see you. hopefully the new bfg's dont spin like those bald *** dunlops were. not as serious as those MH though

great job Joe, sounds like a solid setup, gotta love the D!
its setups like this that make you really appreciate the old school motors that we came up on

thanks guys. to answer a few of the questions..... i unfortunatly do not know exactly which camshaft it is, the owner of the car purchased it and installed it before he brought the car back to us.
we use a Dyno Jet for tuning. we are located in MD, this car is from MD but we do have a ton of customers from VA. honestly, most of the cars we tune are from VA i think.
yes pump gas as in 93 octane haha. i dont suggest running this much boost all the time every day.... the single cam stuff is a little trickier to tune, especially with out good gas. it seems a lot of guys trying to push the D series stuff hard have some trouble keeping the head attatched to the block lol. i think at the same boost, with some more timing, it could pick up another 15-20hp...but i left it where i felt comfortable.
i believe the wheels are 15's. not sure on the width. yea dave it does look like bens car a little. the paint is a little lighter color. its actually a really nice car, i like it a lot.
just for the hell of it...... here is the dyno chart when i tuned the car a year and a half ago or so.....same turbo kit, 100% stock motor (just installed head studs), and a GT28rs

Lol, i came on here to make a post that is almost identical to the one you just made. Almost identical setups other then the cam. The car i tuned had a turbonetics 60trim on it.
