The 6th Gen Accord V6 has a 17 Gallon tank. Could I not fill up the tank and add Techron that's enough for 20 Gallons? Are there any risks or will it just work better?

For the extra 10 seconds it would take to do the right amount, why not do the right amount? Even if you have to guess

Very true statement!!! a nice round guesstimate would be better then pouring the whole thing in..

As with most things chemical, it's all about concentrations.
It's like asking at what concentration point does it start attacking rubber, neoprene and viton fuel components (seals, hoses etc).

If you inadvertantly threw a 20 gallon allocation in there and almost immediately discovered your error, I'd suggest a 60mile drive in the countryside and then retop-off your tank.

using this kind of product has its benifits.. and like p adams said about concentrations... it has its downside. using this too often could actually eat away the varnish surrounding the windings in your fuel injectors.. thus leading to more problems...

i dump a bottle in my tank about every 6 months. this time interval is probably good enough for most of the vehicles owned by everyone on here.
