The goodies are here!
So after two weeks of consecutive shopping, I finally have all of my equipment at my house. I have spent nearly $700 dollars . I was originally going to purchase a G110 and Menzerna polishes only, but after reading many reviews I ended up with a Flex, Menzerna Polishes, Poorboys products and Finish Kare. I still want more goodies but I am totally out of money. haha(Detailing is addicting). Can't wait for my tax money to come in so that I may purchase more products. :buffing:
Sweet set up. I have heard alot of good about the FLEX, so you should be happy. You are definitely not going to regret buying all that after you get your first detail in, and know that you are the only one touching your car. I would probably suggest a few more microfiber towels, but you should be good for now. I might have some stuff I am getting rid of, and i'll let you know if my buddy doesn't want it. If he doesn't want it i'll give it to you so you can save some cheese.
Yea dude welcome to a COMPLETE drain on your finances from now on.
You might as well go over to home depot now and buy a little cabinet for all your gear cuz it gets out of control real fast.
Two words: Pinnacle Souveran
But well done on the Poorboys products. They are exactly what they claim to be, multi-purpose, user friendly products that do exactly what they say they do. A lot of people say that they are "beginners products". They can all take a flying f*ck I've been doing this for YEARS and those products are rad.
OK, I'm drunk and kinda rambling.
I thought I only did this at bars.

DAJellie- Thanks for the offer regarding the products. I will definately be purchasing more towels and a couple more pads in the weeks to come.
Lastdetail- lol at your posts. haha. Im actually a little tempted to try out the Fuzion wax that AG has on bogo right now. 100 dollars for two Fuzion waxes is a good deal and i've heard plenty of great things on it.

Yup, I am on autogeek as well. What is your screen name on there?... From the reviews and searches i've done. People have spoken highly of Natty's Blue and Red so I went ahead and ordered Natty's red

Where did you find Nattys red? I thought they only made a limited run of it? I bought 2 jars and I like it a lot. I'm rationing out the second jar though because I thought I couldn't get anymore.
Natty's blue on black is awesome.

I purchased the Natty's Red from PakShak. I believe Detailed Image also has it in stock.

my screen name is the same as here.
thats what i found when i searched...nattys blue gives a pretty nice finish to dark cars, i am just a little unsure how to apply it actually.
after i use the sip and/or nano, apply one think coat of nattys, but do i use the pc or do it by hand with a foam applicator pad? do i apply pressure with the wax or no? also do i go back and forth or in a circle?
sorry to steal your thread moedizzle, just wanted to ask you and lastdetail.

First and foremost after so long detailing cars I have really only come by one hard and fast rule. That rule simply stated is: "The method you least want to use is probably going to give the best results" Applying wax by hand will always yield better results. By all means you can use the PC to apply wax, however it will just look better when you do it by hand.
OK couple of things to bear in mind. You don't need to apply any pressure whatsoever. Start by soaking a foam applicator in water, then wring it out again and again. You want a damp applicator pad to prevent you from picking up too much wax out of the jar at once. Get some wax on the pad and simply spread it on the prepped paint surface. Back and forth or circles, whichever you prefer.
Now, a lot of people seem to think that the more wax you apply the better the end result is going to be. This is simply not true. Spread that wax as thin as you can, only so much is going to remain on the surface of the paint and the rest is going to be buffed off. Save yourself extra buffing and some $$ and make your products last longer by spreading it thin.
Ok, now you have a nice waxed car. Let that wax haze up before you begin to remove it. Natty's is just lovely for this, once it has dried it is literally as easy to wipe off as ash. Make sure you use the softest towel in your arsenal, this is literally your last step of paint work and you want it to have the nicest look when you are done.
Really though if you take your time and do your prep work to its full potential, and have a good coat of sealant on the paint, you will not notice a difference at all between 1-10 layers of wax.
Personally I don't believe that it is possible to layer a wax as soft as Natty's. But thats just me
