f22b1 or f20b ?
I got a 97 accord with an f22b1 in it. I want to boost my car with a goal of 350 whp. Everybody has told me that the f22b1 is better to boost than the h23 because its got stronger walls so the motor's holding capabilities are a lot higher than the h23, Ok. Now, i really want to do a swap to my accord as i want to run a dual cam vtec motor in it and i just found an F-series that seems to be able to get the job done.
I found an f20b in a website. My question is: How good is this motor for boost ? are the walls as strong as the f22b1 or is it the same as the h23 ?

DOHC vtec f20b? Iron block, so good for boost, but high compression, so a really good tune is needed. But it would be very repsonsive at low boost. You could get custom pistons made for around $600, which would lower the compression quite a bit, and might be a little more turbo friendly. What are your power goals and spending limits?
f20b = h22 ok, but is the f20b walls as thin as the h22 one's ? I dont mind spending 4000 for properly boostin the f20b. i just want it to get done right.
It's a destroked H22, so I'm wagering they didn't change anything with it really haha. If you're planning on boosting I would stick with the F22B1 and 350whp is attainable with it.
Apparently they aren't, I'll have to correct myself, I was under the impression it was almost identical to the H22A block.
*edit* That's after doing some more searching around on the interwebz, though there seems to be quite a bit of confusion on the subject. Some say they are others say they aren't.
