93 eg cx trying to get bar'd
Ok so i bought a 93 eg and i want to get it bard. The car has a 96 integra GSR block with 94 head and 94 tranny. I have no idea where the tranny came from all i know is its from a 94. How do i tell where my 94 tranny came from and will it pass the ref or can he tell where it came from . Do my motor and tranny have to be the same year? Can they tell they are from different years? My car is obd1 will i have to change anything if i am using a 96 block. If anyone knows anything for sure about going to the ref let me know what i should expect
does ur tranny have the VIN still attached to it? if so u can find out where it came from..if it was cut off then the ref. might get suspicious..its better to stick with obd1 bcuz tryin to pass with a obd2 will require more work and other **** to be done which is a PITA, i should noe bcuz im tryin to pass my obd2 gsr and i failed 2x already...tell the ref. its a 94 motor and find the correct ecu for that year cuz he WILL look at ALL the letters/numbers on the ecu lable
just like what ekb16 had said, see what year your gsr ecu is or what ever year ecu you will be getting and just tell the ref you have that year motor(94 or 95). the ref will go by what year motor you tell him. make sure everything is in factory working order as if it was in a stock integra car. make sure you add the extra wires that is needed like the vtec, knock, dual butterfly,
