Well a theif broke the steering wheel on the car which is a 93 civic. What im meaning is when the car is off the steering wheel wont lock up when i turn it so its just loose. what do i have to change just in case again. I dont want something aftermarket just normal i just wanna fix it.

 

u gota buy a whole new lock mechinism.. there kinda pricey.. u can find them on ebay tho for about 100buxs...

Make friends with the people at your junkyard. I got a whole tilt column (wheel to universal joint) out of a Civic and the AC system (pump, lines, condensor, wiring) for $35. A friend of mine knows one of the owners and I've been down there quite a few times.

I'd offer to sell the lock mechanism I got, but mine is busted also.
