So, Looking over the Schedule of races for the east coast, theres really not much going on in the southeast in the month of May besides IFO in Montgomery, Al. Just wondering if anyone would be interested in participating in an SFWD race at Rockingham Dragway in Rockingham, NC. May 3rd is currently on the calender for "Phantasm Imports at the Rock," sponsored by a local shop. I have approached Phantasm motorsports about the idea and will be meeting with the owner soon to talk over some possibilities of adding an SFWD race to the event and possibly other classes. All of us local to Rockingham would really like to see an Import Drag event back in NC seeing as the last large event here was NOPI in 06. This track was a big hit with racers when NOPI was here, I remember Brent Rau being interviewed by NOPI-Tunervision and telling them that it was the best hooking track he'd ever been to if I'm not mistaken. I would def try and be there. Not sure if my car is going to be ready or ever up to par to compete in a SFWD class, but I would def try and make it.

Im guessing Howard would be interested and I still talk to a friend that recently got his car about done and he would also be interested as well. I will spread the word around about this.

What kind of info are you guys looking for? I'd like to post up as much as possible but at the moment I'm just looking to see what kind of interest we can get for this event. Please post up some details you guys would like to possibly know so i can get them out for your viewing.

Hey Tuna, Sorry I didn't reply above. I was trying to get some quick views/replies in earlier at work. The event really is nothing more than basicly a Test and tune with a car show. I am trying to push the SFWD class in because I honestly know more people that are serious about racing that would fit into the SFWD class than others. If you have people that may be interested, refer them to the thread and we'll see what kind of interest we may have and go from there.

 

What kind of payouts would you guys be looking for to make the drive? I'd love to see y'alls crew out. Saw y'all at MIR for WCF and you had some great looking cars that ran very well.
