Default Rear end noises in Reverse

Alright guys, I'm having an issue with my 6G, but it's difficult to explain so I'll do it the best I can..

Once in a while, I'll be slowly reversing and I'll hear popping and clunking near my rear right wheel area. As I push on the gas and speed up in reverse, the sounds will become a little more violent. This problem doesn't happen all of the time, only sometime and seems to occur more when I've been driving the car a little harder than usual. Once I put the car in Drive and accelerate forward, the sounds go away.

I don't know what would be causing this sound ONLY in reverse, and not in drive. The wheels are still rotating, just in different directions..

This is another issue that I think may be connected with the Reversing issue (but im not sure) :
ONCE IN A WHILE i'll pull into a parking spot, put the car in Park, pull the Ebrake, and shut off the car. As soon as the car is turned off I hear the same type of clunking noise in the rear end as the engine comes to a halt, and the noise goes away in a quick second. I thought it had something to do with the Ebrake, but it will sometimes do it with the ebrake applied, and sometimes not.

Any help will be appreciated guys,
Thanks

Jack the car up and have a look at the suspension. Possibly a bushing or something. Just jack it up and have a look around and you might be able to spot the problem. If everything seems in place, not broken or loose, then it could be your shocks, a bushing, etc.

I did this already. I always try to investigate before answering. Everything seemed in place. Its not my shocks or else it'd be happening more frequently.

Usually caused by missing/worn rear brake pad shims.

Have you looked over the exhaust system alignment?
Proximity to other panels?
Can you modulate this noise with the brake pedal?
Does it occur just by putting it in reverse or does it have to be rolling?

I havnt bothered looking at the exhaust system because it sounds like the sound is coming from the other side of the car (driver side) and it sounds like it is going with the rotation of the wheel. I have to be rolling for it to make the sound. Once again, it hasnt done it for a while, but it occasionally will.

it willl also make the noise after shutting the car off like I mentioned. So odd. Anyone else with similar problems?

I had a clunking kind of noise when I had a loose splash guard in the front. At higher speeds it would start vibrating and sounded like a very harsh clunk. Idk if you checked for a loose panel like the one that covers your fuel lines in the wheel well while you were under the car. Maybe a plastic push in fitting snapped and it's rubbing/shaking weird in there (possibly against the fuel filler piping behind it). This is a long shot but just a thought.
