92 civic; lots of white smoke
I just got done tuning up my cx, and the ****er starting smoking worse than before. I changed the spark plugs, cap/rotor, valve cover gasket/O-rings, brand new duralast battery; I put restore in with some cheap motor oil and let it run for a good half hour before flushing and refilling with castrol 5w-30. I ran the motor for about 15 miutes after that, checked the oil and its ****ing clear. Its hard as **** to read the dip-stick. But it died once while I was backing into my yard. And there is just a ton of white smoke
. Could there be a reason Im not aware of for all the smoke? I'm hoping its just be the restore or maybe the excess oil burning off the pistons. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

check you coolant level, might have a bad headgasket, this is what my dx was doing also, took the head off and the gasket was all f***ed up. Now it runs great.
Well, Ive only had the car for three days. The only leaks I knew of were from the valve cover gasket, O-rings and the rubber and brass things on the top of the valve cover, and I fixed all those. **** was all just hand tight. The previous owner was stupid about cars. He used SuperTech brand for EVERYTHING he could. Even the oil filter. Its not surprising that the car is in such sad shape after only 90,000 miles.
