The two I listed will be the brightest you'll find as far as stock wattage goes. They won't be "hyper-white", but they'll be bright. Anything brighter will require higher wattage, which brings with it the risk of melted wiring and headlamp housings.

For something cheap, I liked the Silverstar Ultra's. They're much better than stock for sure. I never tried the ones he listed above.

yes sir, real improvements in headlight output without the ricer-ness of blue bulbs or PnP HID kits. Can't beat that for the money.

The driver side bulb went out on me sometime last night. So, i'm going to use this as the perfect exuse for me to get a new set of bulbs for my car. Where would it be possible for me to go pick up a set of those bulbs Osram Night Breaker or Philips Xtreme Power as stated earlier in this thread?

I was never too happy with the brightness of the stock bulbs to begin with, and aside from the plastic housing of melting over, i've read that you can also get your CEL turned on if there is too high of a wattage bulb installed? is that part correct?

i currently have the osram nightbreakers and got them off of powerbulbs.com, powerbulbs also has a store on ebay...you save a couple bucks if you purchase from their ebay store. I've had my osram's for 1yr and 1month and the drivers side low beam burned out, but the high beam still works.

i just ordered the phillips to see if they last longer, hopefully they do. i will let you know which one i think is brighter.

i do like the osrams a lot, very bright!!

12,000K not 12,000 watt.

HID retrofits are all around 35 watts for power consumtion. 12k or 12,000K (kelvin) is the color temperature (purple).

I ended up getting Sylvania Ultra (i think it's Ultra) White bulbs with a temperature of 4000K. Although they're not super bright, they are definately much more noticably brighter than the POS OEM bulbs that were in there. that, and they're not yellow

i just put in my phillips x-treme. i compared one bulb to old osram when they were in the housings. the osram nightbreaker was a little more white bright, but not by much. the x-treme's are pretty bright though, i think they might shine a little further than my old nightbreakers. still satisified though, hopefully they last longer than a yr

The Brightest Headlight bulb for your application 9003/H4 is Osram 70/65. They're untinted (ie, does not rob light output, and lasts way longer) unlike ricer blue bulbs like the Sylvania Silverstar and Silverstar Ultra and better than Osram Nightbreaker and Phillips X-treme Power. Plus, they're absolutely safe in your stock housing with stock wiring. I have had them for over a year through summer and winter with no problems at all.

wow...not only do you not even know anything about what you just bought but your suggesting something that puts out less usable light than stock headlights with nice bulbs.
