any hope for refinishing this hood?
i dont know if the hood has clearcoat or gel coat, if that matters.
any advice would be greatly appreciated

try peanut butter to bring back the shine

 

PB is a decent temp fix. but from looking at your pic it just looks like it needs a good buff.

 

i see mixed results with this topic.
ive had a hood like that, used peanut butter, used the 3m boat hull refinish stuff and found that the fade comes back after a while. ive seen the two mentioned methods supposidly work well on this site also.

 

you can take a da sander to it with 800 and then wet sand it with 1000 then get it recleared

 

my hood did the same ****, my buddy and i sanded it down for about 5 minutes with a DA, then re-cleared that bitch and she looked brand new
