i have a 97 del sol s with a obd1 gsr in it and i had advanced the dizzy or retarded it i cant remember,
than i reset the ecu by pulling the fuse and turning the motor over three times and ever since then its been popping at high rpms.
so i dont know if my O2 sensors is bad
or did i burn up one of my valves

 

popping? what kind of popping? is it a clicking or tapping? where does it sound like it is coming from? it doesnt do it while at idle? does the speed of the tapping increase as you increase higher in RPMS?

 

it comes from the motor you can hear it throgh the exhaust
it feels like it lags on power also when it pops maybe a back fire almost

 

Backfiring/popping? It may be lean.

 

could the O2 sensor be junk or what do u guys think or do u think i maybe burned a valve
