First off before the flames/comments come, i know this is a generic question, and yes i know there is a search button. But honestly, this search engine is about as useful as a blonde in a garage. More detailed explanations upon request.

But simply put, the company i work for can get custom paint mixed. And i just need to know how much paint i need for the full exterior, and only the exterior, of a 98 civic hatchback.

I will not be spraying the paint or anything in between, but the person/shop that is, is going to cut me a deal if i can get the paint myself.

gallon is more then enough

 

gallon will leave you with some extra for touch ups down the road...gallon of clear as well... **** i used a gallon of clear on my crx with jambs and engine bay giving it 3 wet coats...

 

like everyone said, a gallon ready to spray is PLENTY, if your ordering it straight than get 2 quarts. reduced 1:1 makes a gallon.. should be able to get it done with less than 3 quarts of reduced paint. but a gallon will be a safeguard in case something happens. Same with the clear.
