Default My Work in progress

Dear Fellow honda owners

I recently got into some money that ide like to invest into my honda
and i would like to get full exhaust but i needed to know a few things
from some others who can help me.

In my honda i have the B18B1 motor swap but i would like to know if some headers for the B18 will fit to a down pipe for a honda of if i would need to
get some other kind of parts please help me out.

well the "downpipe" you're talking about is part of the header, so this really doesn't make sense

i'm guessing you mean that you want to attach the top half of the header for the b18b1 to the bottom half of the header on your civic?

what he needs is a b18 header, either the stock cat or a test pipe, and the exhaust system that is made for his car. b series headers are 1 piece and there is not a "downpipe" like the bottom section of a stock exhaust manifold.

well i can get either a long header which is the down pipe or it in two parts meaning the header and down pipe but if i can get the long header will that bolt up to a catback exhaust for my honda

you dont HAVE to get a test pipe, the stock cat thats on there will work also. The test pipe just makes the exhaust sound a bit raspier and takes some highway drone out... at least in what i have experienced.

test pipe made highway drone louder in my experiences. test pipes are gay, stick with the cat.

do whatever you like. most people are opposed to test pipes but yes they are a bit cheaper. a nice quiet exhaust like mentioned above with a test pipe there wont be too much of a difference.

If your on a budget get an axle back and go to a muffler shop and get 2.25 inch piping. A pipe is a pipe. Lol. Or if you want a sleeper look and avoid sticky situations with the police get a flat black vibrant muffler with 2.25 inch piping

Didnt DC have a 2 piece header back in the day? I remember seeing those.

If you got some cash in you hand I would look into possible doing a ls/vtec setup. actually I would save that cash and when you saved enough do the ls/vtec that way you feel the power!

But goodluck on whatere your decision is.
