Cars Without Rear Fog Lights > Cars With Rear Fog Lights

Except for Civic Type RR and 370Z

Ehhh. Unless you can cleanly integrate a fog light into the existing taillight housing, is say no.

on integras the fog is in the back bumper, it doesn't go in the taillights.

I meant to say ditch the integra rear fog all together, and find another method of installing the light.

I think it's a Euro requirement to have a rear fog integrated.

Yeah I think you're right on that one. I would bet that if you asked someone in the UK they have a fog light integrated into the taillights like the 5th gen civics do. Check my FS thread in my sig to see what the 5th gen one looks like

if it's not a requirement you shouldn't have it. i think european cars that have a rear foglight built into their taillight look funny; it looks like their wiring is messed up or something, with one of their tailights being all bright and the other one dim.

I dislike when rear fog light comes on when you turn on the front. The rear fog light can be VERY helpful to others in very dense fog, but should have it's own switch.

There should be a big *** sighn somewhere on this forum that says...

"IF IT INVOLVES ANYTHING PRE 2006 IT WONT AND CANT AND **** IT DOESNT BELONG ON AN 06+"

That is unless it is some kind of pre 06 rim like type S rims but even then I dont like it to much.

thanks Captain Obvious. I know where it comes from and what its purpose is, I deal with Euro cars all day.

however, the 'jdm bandwagon' thinks rear fogs are the coolest thing since Rotas. so everyone who does it thinks its oh so jdm and cool to put bumper rear fogs in anything newer than 92+. IE: EG's came with them in their taillight, EK's the same, etc etc.

i dint really like the jdm fog lamp on the 08 type-r, it looks like a light for the people that put tow-hooks on their trucks. and the fog lamp intergrated with the tail light looks like if one of your tail light was blown. i dont know if to put one or two fog lights.

To be honest, I do not think they are worth all the trouble you're going to have to go through. Your bumper's not even marked for them the way the DC2 is marked.

And they're not that useful, anyway.

IMHO, of course. :-)

It might help if your area deals with a lot of fog, but like GK said, there's no way of integrating an integra rear fog into this generation civic.

It really depends upon where you live and what type of conditions you drive in, as well as whether you're bright enough (no pun intended) to use the lamp properly. I actually think it's an important safety feature, and one that the DOT and NHTSA should consider adopting as a federal requirement here in the States.
