Safe to apply aircraft stripper to SA3R's?
I have a set of some pretty beat up SA3R's that i'd like to polish. I was planning on taping up the tires and spraying some aircraft stripped on them. I want to know if I would have any problems doing so? It'll be about 60 degrees outside when I do it. Anyone have any experience in refinishing SA3R's? Any advice would be helpful thanks.
i have used it on blue/black sa3r's and it worked for me. i only stripped them but did not refinish them...
all i know is that refinishing 2 piece welded wheels or any wheel like that where the spoke is very close to the lip is a pain in the behind.. gl..

Very true. I tried to do it to a set of Starks and it was a lot more difficult than I had anticipated.

I thought about polishing my sa3r's but wasn't Shure if the centercaps would polish to a mirror finish so I didn't do it. But yes refinishing sa3rs would be a biotch.
Thanks for the information. I am worried about getting to all the ends but I think i have something figured out. It wont be perfect but should be alright. I was worried about the finish not coming off on the wheels. Seems like i'll start this weekend. Thanks!
