I am in need of a boost gauge and was considering either the AEM or Defi units and was wondering what are people experiences with these or any other units

 

both good choices. perfer the defi

 

auto meter, sunpro are also other choices.. and good priced..

 

For my DD, I just went with Autometer. All I need to know is where I'm at w/in 2psi. I'll know I hit boostcut when I get slammed towards the steering wheel.

 

i'm using an electronic greddy gauge.. it was only 40 bucks otherwise i'd have autometer

I really only worry about what the MAP sensor is seeing.

I'm actually thinking about gutting a cheap gauge, putting in 20-30 LED's, a 20-30 LED comparator driver chip, and reading right off the MAP. Basicly take a 0-5 volt signal and display it on a round LED graph - all for $8+case and better accuracy than any electronic gauge. My only problem is the gauge face & backlighting.

 

Ditto for me, i'm happy with mine.

i have stewart warner. has always been accurate for me, and they're pretty cheap.

 

My VDO....yes VDO has always been good to me.

i have stewart warner works great for me

 

i had a defi imperial, stopped at 28, but worked verywell and liked peak and playback. went to an autometer procomp, just using it as a quick reference. i rely on the datalog.
