well summer is coming up and im finished paying off my teg and wanting to get some parts.Im just wanting some opinion on some parts im thinking of getting.Im thinking of getting the buddy club racing spec exhaust header,buddy club spec 2 catback,skunk2 intake manifold,act heavy duty clucth/w street disc and act xact flywheel. my car is a 99 gsr just wondering well i also see a good amount of hp gains for these items.

 

How is your suspension set up?

and just wondering is the buddy header and cat back 2.5 all the way??

your skunk2 mani is goin to need the trottle cable from a type r i believe.

I know they say you get hp gain from those parts but i think its not going to make tat much of a difference like you want them to unless u boost. i think where u would feel the biggest difference is in your clutch set up. (i hope your timein belt is new).

 

If you have a LS I'd say upgrade to GSR trans...

Get a custom SRI intake pipe with a K+N filter.

Do the Big3 electrical upgrade or custom upgrade on engine bay grounds.

Most importantly, get an alarm. I really like my DEI Python 990.

hondata S300. an innovate LC-1 or similar wideband is handy too. don't retain your factory catalytic converter, and yeah, BC Spec II exhaust is REALLY loud, just so you know...

 

The big3 is a kit that includes basically what you should use. Otherwise, buy 4 gauge cable(good cable, no crap that's not 100% copper) and cut to length with terminals crimped on the ends to replace your old and oxidized grounds in the engine bay.

From valve cover to front chassis...
Tranny ground
alternator ground
battery ground

and the best thing is to be creative and connect all of those grounds together to increase the reliability...

I would also recommend to replace the battery positive wire, starter wire, and fuse box wire.

If you do this, and also upgrade your spark plug wires with iridium spark plugs, new dizzy cap n rotor...I can guarantee you that there will be a noticeable difference vs stock stuff with 100k miles on it. Plus it's relatively cheap to do.
