Default Snapped Cam-shaft means Swapping Head or Mtr.

Hello, Had a Cam-shaft sieze and Snap in a 1995 Honda Odyssey with a F22B6 mtr. Removed the Head and found the Pistons survived the broken camshaft unscathed. No damage what so ever.
Will an 1996/97 Accord head from a 2.2 non-vtec OBD1 fit/bolt on with little or no mods?
Seems like a reasonable option to keep costs to a minimum as one is presently for sale locally. I was leaning to replace the engine with a JDM swap that would require changing over the Intake but this might save a few dollars.

Thank you

If your going to swap the entire head then it won't really apply to your situation but the valves could have been damaged. I am almost certain that those heads are interchangeable, they are very similar motors. If modification was necessary, as you suspected, it would be minimal.

the valves wouldn't be first on my list to check if I was reusing the head, I'd be more concerned with damage to the cam journals.

The '94,'95,'96 and '97 F22B2 Head will fit. These share the same part number with the '95 Odyssey. OBD1 and OBD2 is determined by what is attached to them.

Your old head is toast and totally unusable.

Thanks Guy's. I'll look into picking up the 1996/97 Accord Head and fix the Ody by swapping this on. Thought this would work but it certainly helps to have some knowledgeable Honda people voice opinions. Appreciate your help!
